HART Launches Learner & Licence Courses In Cranbourne

16 April 2010 - In response to the growing demand for high quality motorcycle rider training, Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) has opened a third training centre in Melbourne.

The centre, which is located at the Cranbourne Racing Club Centre in Melbourne’s South East, will offer both learner permit and licence courses to Melburnians who find the new SE location more convenient than HART’s other locations in Somerton (north) and Kilsyth (east).

By opening this new centre in Melbourne’s SE, new and existing riders from all areas in Melbourne now have access to the highest quality of training available in Victoria.

“Honda understands the need for quality rider training to ensure all riders are adequately prepared to ride a motorcycle or scooter on our busy roads,” said HART’s Victorian Manager Grant Carr.

“We chose the Cranbourne Racing Centre because it offers great facilities including an excellent riding range with plenty of room for manoeuvring.

As an opening special HART is offering 10% off all learner permit and licence courses booked for the Cranbourne site in May and June.

HART offers one day and two day Learner Permit courses and testing. The two day course has been designed for students who have never ridden before, whilst the one day course requires that students are familiar with motorcycle riding skills and techniques.

The course includes exercises such as braking and slow riding, as well as cornering and eye direction, all aimed at introducing the rider to the essentials of skilled and safe road riding.

The HART licence course runs over one full day, and addresses practical skills such as straight line braking, corner braking, cornering lines, counter steering, slow speed riding and exercises which combine different skills within the one exercise.

The course fee is inclusive of testing for the permit or license, use of helmet, gloves and wet weather gear during the course. The motorcycles provided to use include a Honda CBF250, or upon request a Honda scooter or Honda CT110.

Like the other Victorian centres, Cranbourne will also offer free same day retests for those participants who may get nervous during their initial attempt at the test.

For bookings please call HART's centre booking number 9270 1377.

HART has long been considered the preeminent provider of rider training and licensing in Australia. Highly qualified instructors deliver state-of-the-art teaching methods to over 19,000 riders each year nationally.

HART is fully owned and run by Honda Australia who, apart from being a subsidiary of the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, is also one of the world’s largest trainers of motorcyclists.
