HART Victoria offers one day and two day Learner Permit courses and testing. The two day course has been designed for students who have never ridden before, whilst the one day course requires that students are familiar with motorcycle riding skills and techniques. The course includes exercises such as braking and slow riding, as well as cornering and eye direction, all aimed at introducing the rider to the essentials of skilled and safe road riding.

The HART licence course addresses practical skills such as straight line braking, corner braking, cornering lines, counter steering, slow speed riding and exercises which combine different skills within the one exercise.

According to HART's National Manager, Mark Collins, courses are designed to cover all aspects of motorcycle and scooter riding, not just the skills required to pass the licence test.

"The content and exercises delivered at HART courses typically exceed the state licensing requirements," he said.

"Training new riders to be confident and skilful is only part of HART's mission, as we are just as focused on preparing riders to handle many different roadcraft issues and situations they will face on the road."

HART has long been considered the preeminent provider of rider training and licensing in Australia. Highly qualified instructors deliver state-of-the-art teaching methods to over 19,000 riders each year from the Victorian, Queensland and New South Wales locations.

They are the only rider training company in Australia to use rider simulators to improve Hazard Perception. HART is fully owned and run by Honda Australia who, apart from being a subsidiary of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer, is also one of the world’s largest trainers of motorcyclists.
