Honda Mounted Brit Brad Anderson Sweeps AUS MX Round 5

2 June 2010 - Current British Motocross Champion Brad Anderson caused a major upset at the Raymond Terrace, Newcastle round of the Australian Motocross Championships this past weekend by winning every moto on a relatively stock standard Honda CRF450R.

Twenty eight year old Anderson, who ironically comes from Newcastle in England’s north, said he was just looking for something a little different to do after 20 years of racing UK circuits.

We really didn’t do much to the bike other than a slip on exhaust, some foot pegs and a bit on the suspension," Anderson said.

"I didn’t expect to do this well to be honest, but the track was rough and to my liking so it suited me down to the ground."

Anderson was supported with his Australian tour by Brisbane Motorcycles.

"I couldn’t have done this without the help of Brisbane Motorcycles," he noted. "I had a two week break from racing for Honda in the UK, so it was great that everything came together so quickly."

Anderson is now headed to W.A. where he will contest the Manjimup 15000 Motocross.
