The Honda Monkey Lives On In Dream Collection

16 October, 2008 – Honda Australia has released their latest limited edition piece of motorcycle history, a framed image of the iconic original 1967 Honda Z50M – affectionately known as the Honda “Monkey”.

This is the fourth of six limited edition Honda framed images, part of the Dream Collection range celebrating Honda’s 60th birthday.

The original Honda Z-series was first produced as a children’s ride at a Japanese amusement park, eventually becoming known as the Monkey due to the comical simian-like appearance of its riders.

The original amusement park version was eventually refined and put into mass production, hitting the European and Japanese markets in 1967.

Looking more like a toy than a motorcycle, the Monkey became one of the most popular mini bikes of all time, still enjoying a huge cult following today.

Only 100 framed images of the Honda Z-series exist, and are available at Dealerships today (RRP $145).

Each print has been professionally mounted on a quality timber silver frame, is UV protected and individually boxed.
