Plenty On Offer From Honda at Phillip Island This Weekend

1 October 2008 - Honda Australia will have plenty on offer to get fans heated up at the MotoGP festivities this weekend at Phillip Island.

Honda’s latest range of their most popular road going models will be on display in the expo area including the “AMCN Bike of the Year” winning CBR1000RR, futuristic DN-01, RC212V MotoGP bike, almighty GL1800 Goldwing and XL1000V Varadero, as well as a pre production VT400 cruiser straight from Japan.

Teknic Honda’s Superbike and Supersport riders will also be on hand to sign autographs each day of the event in the expo area, as will Honda sponsored V8 Supercar drive Rick Kelly who will have signed Holden HSV posters to give away.

Families will want to keep an eye out for the “Honda Girls” who will be roaming the circuit, and will have plenty of stickers and tattoos to hand out to the kids.

A highlight of the weekend will be the “Legends of MotoGP” ride including Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner riding CBR1000RR’s, as well as the Honda CBR150R junior riders who will have the time of their life participating in demonstration rides each day.

Teknic Honda’s Glenn Allerton – who is currently leading the Australian Superbike Championship – as well as Jason O’Halloran and Wayne Maxwell will also be competing in support races aboard their Motologic prepared CBR’s.

And of course, Honda’s finest international MotoGP riders will be practising, qualifying and competing throughout the weekend on the 4.4 km circuit in front of a huge crowd, certain to offer plenty of thrills and spills.
