Teknic Honda Superbike Riders Descend Upon The Island

Teknic Honda Superbike Riders Descend Upon The IslandTeknic Honda Superbike riders Jason O’Halloran and Glenn Allerton will make their debut this weekend at Phillip Island’s round two of World Superbikes.

Both riders are returning to the manufacturer that helped catapult their career into the professional ranks.

After testing intensively during the first two months of the year, both O’Halloran and Allerton are at full fitness and clearly at ease on the CBR1000RR.

“I’m surprised at how quickly I was able to adapt to the bigger bike,” current Supersport Champion O’Halloran said.

“Even though this weekend’s races are not part of the Australian title series, it will be a good opportunity to get out and get some race-time in before the first round.”

“I feel like I’m back where I belong on the Honda,” said the 20 year old.

The Teknic Honda Superbike team will be running Dunlop tyres this year, and according to Allerton, riders and crew alike have found the new package to be excellent.

“It’s taken a bit of getting used to but I’m loving the feel of the bike,” said Allerton who comes to the Team with an ‘07 first place Privateer rider win to his name.

“I’m going great with my fitness regime as well, so between that and having a factory package to ride, I think I’ll be right up there.”

The Team will take part in support class qualifying and racing on Friday, 29 February and Saturday, 1 March.
